Local Government Employees In Balochistan Also Went On Strike
Employees of the local government department in charge of cleaning in Balochistan went on strike after not receiving their salaries for two months.
According to Daily Pakistan the officials of the local government department, the daily wage employees of the local government department in the province have been on strike for two months due to non-payment of salaries. On the other hand, the permanent employees of the local government department in charge of cleaning also joined the strike, deciding to support the daily wage employees.
According to the officials of the local government department, due to the strike of 1400 employees of the Metropolitan Corporation stationed in Quetta, piles of garbage were piled up in different parts of the city while poor sanitation situation in different cities of the province including Quetta has disturbed the citizens. ۔
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qaddos Bizenjo has announced immediate release of non-development funds of local councils which will be utilized for improvement of sanitation situation and provision of civic amenities.
